Advisory Board
The GCC Team Has A Long Story
The impact behind the Gulf Coast Challenge begins long before the two teams take the field to battle it out for bragging rights.
Our Advisory Board is a group of individuals who are rooted and have a vested interest in our communities. They are business professionals, HBCU Graduates, family people with shared goals. Those goals are to increase exposure of HBCU’s, help generate scholarship funds for students to attend college and unite our community for the cause.
Mission Statement
The mission of the advisory board is to advocate for quality HBCU festivities during the Gulf Coast Challenge. Our expanded mission is to champion education efforts and promote meaningful community engagement opportunities. We are striving to make sure the Gulf Coast Challenge, sets and maintains a standard of excellence in tradition and culture with a positive impact on the community. Achieving this through community service, resource creation, and positive programs is our goal and purpose.
Tim Hale | Gulf Coast Challenge
"When we first started this challenge, it was always our hope that each year this game would get bigger and better. This year we will bring two of the biggest Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference powerhouses to Mobile introducing fans to everything this great city has to offer."
